What You'll Need

– 1/2 cup sourdough starter discard – 2 cups rolled oats – 2 tbs melted coconut oil – 1/2 cup maple syrup – 1 tsp cinnamon – 1/2 tsp nutmeg – 1/4 tsp salt – 1/4 cup sunflower seeds

Step 1

Start making your own sourdough granola by preheating oven to 350F (180C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, mix all the wet ingredients: sourdough starter, coconut oil, maple syrup, and your spices (cinnamon, nutmeg & salt).

Step 3

Whisk all the ingredients together using a hand whisk or the whisk attachment on your standing mixer.

Step 4

Next, add in all the dry ingredients such as oats, nuts & seeds. Mix everything together well.
