About

Tereza Taus

hey there!

Hey, I'm Tereza!

I'm the heart and hands behind Free to Flower, a homestead kitchen food blog centred on from-scratch cooking, sourdough baking, fermentation, and seasonal recipes.

After stepping away from fast-paced city work and returning to my family's European farm, I began cooking daily with fresh, seasonal ingredients from our land.

Every recipe shared here is developed and tested in my own working kitchen, using traditional methods designed for reliable, practical home cooking.

Fun Facts

  • After a traumatic first C-section, I chose to freebirth my next two babies at home - a decision that deeply shaped how I think about responsibility, intuition, and traditional living.
  • I grew up riding horses in the countryside and still love being in the saddle whenever I can. In winter, you'll find me skiing with my family.
  • There's almost always a sourdough starter on my counter, and fresh bread with good butter is my idea of comfort food.
